This page describes what Mentr collects, why it is collected, where it goes and how long it stays. It is written to match how the product behaves today, and it is updated when the product changes.

What Mentr collects

  • Account details. Your name and email address, as given at sign-up. These are held by the authentication provider Mentr uses for sign-in, and Mentr keeps a copy so your conversations can be attached to an account.
  • Conversations. The messages you send, the replies the model returns, and any files you attach.
  • Usage records. Which model answered a request, roughly how much work it did, and how many credits that cost. This is what the credit balance is counted from.
  • Payment details. Handled by the payment processor on a paid plan. Card numbers do not reach Mentr's own servers.

What it is used for

To generate replies, to keep your conversation history where you left it, to meter credits, and to keep the service running and secure. Mentr does not sell your data and does not use it for advertising.

Model providers

Mentr does not run the models itself. Generating a reply means sending your message, the earlier turns in that conversation and any files you attached to a third-party model provider, which processes them under its own terms and returns the answer. Which provider answers a given message depends on the routing rules in effect for your plan.

Training

Mentr does not train any model on your conversations. Mentr cannot make that promise on behalf of the model providers it calls; their handling of the requests Mentr sends is governed by their own agreements.

How long it is kept

  • Conversations stay in your account until you delete them. Mentr does not expire or automatically remove them on a schedule.
  • Deleting a conversation deletes its messages and their attachments with it.
  • Usage and credit records are kept for as long as the account exists, because they are what the balance is derived from.

Cookies and local storage

A session cookie set by the authentication provider is what keeps you signed in. Your theme and reduced-motion preferences are stored in your browser's local storage so the page does not flash the wrong theme before it loads. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking in either.

Security

Your conversations are reachable only through your own session: every request is checked against the signed-in account before any row is read. Traffic to and from Mentr is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, and this page deliberately claims no certification or audit that Mentr does not hold.

Changes to this page

When the product changes in a way that changes this description, this page changes with it. Continuing to use Mentr after a change means the updated page applies.
