Terms

These terms cover using Mentr. They describe what you can expect from the service and what the service expects from you. Creating an account or sending a message means you accept them.

Your account

An account is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password — resetting it signs every other session out.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Mentr for anything unlawful, or to produce material that harms people.
  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to upload, or content you are not permitted to send to a third-party processor.
  • Do not try to break, overload or work around the service's limits, and do not resell or relabel access to it.
  • Do not use Mentr's output to train a competing model, or present it as human work where that would mislead someone who matters.

Plans, credits and billing

  • Mentr is metered in credits. Every plan comes with a monthly credit grant; work you ask for spends against it, and a longer request costs more than a short one.
  • When your balance reaches zero, new requests are declined until the next monthly grant or until you move to a plan with a larger one. Nothing already in your account is deleted or downgraded.
  • There is also a per-minute request ceiling, applied to protect the service. It is the same on every plan and is stated on the pricing section.
  • The prices shown on the pricing section are the prices charged. Paid plans renew for successive periods until cancelled, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

What the models produce

Replies are generated by statistical models. They can be wrong, out of date, or confidently invented, and the reasoning shown alongside an answer is a description of the model's process rather than a guarantee of it. Check anything you are going to rely on. Mentr does not warrant that output is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose, and how you use it is your responsibility — including any professional, legal, medical or financial decision it touches.

Your content

What you send stays yours. You grant Mentr only the permission it needs to run the service: to store your conversations, to show them back to you, and to transmit them to the model provider that answers them. That permission ends for a conversation when you delete it. What Mentr does and does not do with your content is set out in the privacy page.

Availability and change

Mentr is provided as it is, without an uptime commitment. Features can be added, changed or withdrawn, models can be replaced as better ones ship, and maintenance can interrupt the service.

Suspension and ending the agreement

You can stop using Mentr at any time; cancelling a paid plan ends the renewal. Accounts that break these terms — or that put the service or other people at risk — can be suspended or closed.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Mentr is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or data, or for decisions taken on the strength of model output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms change as the product does. The version on this page is the one in force, and continuing to use Mentr after a change means it applies to you.
